Quotation from Dee Kennedy, Massachusetts State Court: Your training met and surpassed all my expectations…What continues to amaze me is the level of caring and commitment that comes through in your presentations…As you might imagine, several people signed on for the training to travel. They didn’t really expect to get much out of it other than a break from the daily grind here. And, they haven’t stopped talking about it yet. In my 11 years at the courthouse I have never seen a training generate this much thought, conversation, and interest in learning and doing more.

Community Organizations: Take Your Work to the Next Level

True safety for all women means looking beyond intervention with batterers and enlisting male allies in communities in the task of ending male violence.

Because Men Stopping Violence combines strong theoretical analysis with ongoing, lively programs, we are uniquely qualified to educate others about working with men on this issue. Because we are deeply rooted in the women's movement for equality, Men Stopping Violence always places safety and justice for women first.

Men Stopping Violence can help community-based organizations find ways to incorporate men into their work and at the same time help prepare organizations to apply for funding that targets men and boys in the work of ending violence against women.

Review the list of trainings below, especially designed for working with men and boys to address male violence against women. To schedule a training, fill out the online training request form, or call 404.270.9894.

Because We Have Daughters®

Men Stopping Violence created the Because We Have Daughters® (BWHD) initiative to engage more men in the work of creating safer and more just communities for women and girls.

BWHD provides a unique opportunity for fathers and daughters to share fun and educational activities, followed by discussions about what the activities taught them about themselves and each other.

Because dads come away with a new understanding about the world that girls must navigate in order to stay safe and whole, BWHD provides a powerful entry point for men into the work of ending male violence against women.

This training will combine the experience of conducting a Because We Have Daughters® event with detailed instructions about how to implement a similar program.
