ATLANTA (September 1, 2021) – Men Stopping Violence (MSV) board of directors is proud to announce Matthew T. Macklin, senior consultant with the Valtas Group, as the new interim executive director of the Atlanta-based non-profit.

“We look forward to working with Matthew and Valtas as we transition into a time of growth for the organization,” said Michael Freed, MSV’s board chair. “The team continues to do the necessary work of creating better allies in men in the fight to end gender-based violence. Matthew will assist in sustaining our current efforts, while Valtas identifies the next person who is truly committed to our mission and our community.”

Macklin – an attorney and healthcare executive with a specialty in operations and governance – brings years of experience guiding organizations through transition and development.

“I’m excited to work with such a dedicated and mission-driven group. I’m thrilled to partner with this team as we modernize our operations, expand our reach and carve out what our work will look like as the world continues to grapple with the effects of the pandemic,” said Macklin.

During Macklin’s tenure, the organization will engage the Valtas Group in their efforts to recruit and hire a permanent executive director.
